Downer’s Asset Services business is delivering the manufacture of wellsite motor control centres (MCCs), as well as installation and modification of both newly developed wellsite and existing wellsite infrastructure across Santos’ operations in the Surat Basin, Queensland.
It’s a joint effort for the Asset Services business, with the MCCs locally manufactured in Hexham and Richlands, before being installed on site. By combining manufacturing capability with install experience in the oil and gas sector, Asset Services was able to offer a true end-to-end, turnkey solution for our customer.
One year on, the team is kicking goals, providing safe and reliable services to our customer.
The Downer team has delivered over 200,000 direct working hours Lost Time Injury (LTI) free and travelled more than 1 million kilometres to locations across Queensland with no serious incidents.
“The team work hard every day to ensure the safe delivery of work for our customer, and to embed the culture of Zero Harm in everything we do,” Contract Manager – Santos for Downer’s Asset Services business, Troy Parry, said.
In a rapidly evolving energy and industrial sector, innovation is key to success, and Downer’s Asset Services business is leading the way.
Downer has a long history of investing in the health and wellbeing of our workers, and our new partnership with MATES in Mining extends this commitment.
